The other day, we went for a trip to the new Max Value supermarket in Desa Park City *no, i don’t live in Desa Park… i wish!! My only intention of following MachoDad was to wash my eyes and dream of owning the luxury residence apartments built for the bold, rich and beautiful. *wakaka!
Max Value is another one of the many chain of retailers run by the filthy rich Aeon corporation (just like Jaya Jusco). This chain here was opened on December last year. I saw a road sign in Ampang, that another chain will be opened in that area soon.
Max Value supermarket is pretty much similar to Jaya Jusco. You can even use the Jusco card to collect points. I should know, coz i purchased some milk and cookies there. Plus, there’s this uncle paying with stacks of Jusco cash vouchers at the cashier.
Now, i have no idea why they call it Max Value instead of Jusco since the concept is the same. Oh, well, the supermarket itself in Desa Park City is not really big. Just a medium size supermarket… just one floor selling mostly daily necessities. However, if you count the supermarket plus all the shops located in the main building, i think it’s as big as Kepong Jaya Jusco.
The food outlets available are pretty impressive. This branch of Max Value is not fully occupied and not fully furnished yet but for now there’s Kluang Station, One Noodle Restaurant, Coffee Bean, New Zealand Natural Ice Cream, Secret Recipe and i forgot what else. Not bad for a mini market right? I wonder if the Ampang branch is going to have such food outlets. *i bet not :S
The second floor is still empty though so there’s nothing much to see for now. I guess it’s best to visit after few months when the whole building is occupied unless to makan makan.
Guess what i found? Big Apple Donuts & Coffee is everywhere!
Oh Oh!!! I forgot to mention that i found a 3 months old cream coloured Chow Chow at Petsmore here! Yes, you’ve heard me right the first time. CREAM colour!! It says cream colour but it looks more like snowy white with brown ears. How rare is that?!
