Sun-Kissed Islands Of Tahiti

France, Tahiti, Travel Agency October 25th, 2008

Tahiti, located in the archipelago of Society Islands in the southern Pacific Ocean is beach heaven if there ever is one. There are much to learn about Tahiti. For one, did you know that Tahiti has also been known as O’tahiti? And that the island had a population of 178,133 inhabitants according to the August 2007 census making it the most populated island of French Polynesia?

However, what interest most vacation goers are their beautiful beaches and breathtaking landscape. Just looking at the pictures of the sun-kissed beaches and crystal clear water of Tahiti makes you believe there is utopia; paradise.

Look at these pictures!

I told you so! I bet right now you are dreaming of flying to Tahiti this coming holidays. I know i am. I even dreamed last night that i had my luggage packed and were on my way to the airport. But then something went wrong. I didn’t have an air ticket to Tahiti! Bummer!

Well, just in case you really are planning for a trip to Tahiti, i hope you don’t mess up like i did in my dreams. So you better make an research as soon as possible about flights to Tahiti. I know of a website at easyTahiti.com which gives wonderful information about trips to Tahiti and the other islands around the area. easyTahiti.com was created by a team of Tahiti-based tourism professionals who have so there are bound to be excellent tips, service and information about travels in Tahiti since they have the local knowledge advantage.

I can certainly tell you that the information are extensive and pretty impressive. They cover beautiful islands such as Moorea, Bora Bora, Easter Island, Fakarava and many more. For example Bora Bora travel includes the history, decripstion of the landscape and people, recommendations on accomodations and also info on air to Bora Bora.

Definitely a website to take note of in the future travel plans.

Compare Hotel for World Vision

Accomodation, Travel Agency October 23rd, 2008

I’ve stumbled upon a really cool website (CompareHotel.com.my ) and i would like to share it with you guys. Avid travelers especially would be interested in this website.

It has somewhat been quite useful for me since i am planning a trip to Bangkok and Chiang Mai on February next year and looking for a affordable but comfortable inn or hotel at the most convenient area in Bangkok has proven to be quite an arduous task. There are so many hotels and guest houses in Bangkok, it could drive a mind crazy!  A tap on the google search button will return like thousands of sites or blogs suggesting different hotels and the rates together with different reviews from tourist or travelers (mostly useless since some of the reviews are outdated). It isn’t my idea of a good holiday by getting started with a headache of going through all the websites uno by uno.

With CompareHotel.com.my, all you need to do is to enter the check-in and check-out dates, number of guest(s), number of room(s) and of course the destination/city you intend to visit. CompareHotel would search over 30 top travel sites and also the sites of many wholesale online travel companies, travel agents and hotels on your behalf. The result is a wonderful and extensive list of hotels and inns/guest houses with information such as rates, ranks and popularity among other details. Alternatively, if you already have a hotel name in mind, just search using the name to get more information.

(If you want to know the agencies and companies which are searched, you can check it out on the website itself.)

For example, my search for Bangkok hotels returned an impressive list on 34 pages (500 hotels/inns).

Now i just have to sort it according to room price to get the lowest room rates in Bangkok.

What’s more interesting is that CompareHotel is currently running a ‘Review Me & Sponsor a Child Program for World Vision. Each review on CompareHotel will result in RM50 donations towards World Vision’s Child Sponsorship Program.

Only Exclusive Travel Luxury Holidays

Accomodation, Reviews, Travel Agency October 18th, 2008

With Christmas approaching 2 months away, many holiday goers are already planning for a long holiday getaway. I am already in a holiday mood too. The many travel advertisements about Luxury Holidays in the newspapers and magazines is not helping me concentrate on work either.

Besides a vacation to de-stress and enjoy, i know many couples are getting married within these few months. I guess end of the year is a good time to get hitched. Christmas is the month of love right? Well, with all my friends getting married, it got me thinking about my future wedding especially about the honeymoon trip (not as much as the honeymoon itself but because i’m such a travel enthusiast!). It’s pretty exciting, a romantic trip to somewhere exotic for special occasions such as honeymoon isn’t it?

Speaking of special occasions, many people prefer travel destinations in Europe such as Spain, Italy, Rome, Paris and even the Caribbean. But i prefer places that are more unusual. Only Exclusive Travel offers just that. Only Exclusive Travel is a UK travel agent who specializes in organizing travel to exotic or unusual locations in the Caribbean, Europe and also the far East. One of the destinations that caught my interest is Mauritius. They have the best accommodation ever! Le Saint Geran Mauritius and Le Touessrok Mauritius are one of the most beautiful places to stay for a holiday in Mauritius.

Ain’t it gorgeous or what?!

Now there’s a destination worth a visit.

Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park, Perak

Malaysia, Perak, Sungkai October 17th, 2008

Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park was opened in December 2003 and is reputed to be one of the best managed hot spring park in Malaysia. I’ve yet to hear about any other hot spring destination that is as well managed than here (i am still filled with unbelievable horror with memory of photos i found on the internet of the Selayang hot spring… 3 pools of muddy water filled with algae under the hot blazing sun).

Sungai Klah on the other hand is well maintained and the water is alot more cleaner. Since it opened, the place is always packed with holiday goers especially families. This place is actually a fine place to go as a family and on short weekend trips. It’s very affordable, lush greenery greets us (hey i even learned a thing or two about the stretches of rubber trees and kelapa sawit (palm oil) at the plantation nearby), facility available is sufficient, service is with a smile plus it’s less than an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur.

Entrance fees are RM10 for adult and RM8 for children.

The hot water springs ranges from 40°C to 100°C but of course some pools are prohibited because it’s so hot it’s dangerous to even touch the water. With a weather so warm right now, even the 60°C pool is too much for me. LOL.

Sungai Klah also has a cafeteria in the park for people looking for a meal. Or if you would fancy it, you could buy a few eggs and try boiling it in the hot water stream nearby. It would just take a while for the eggs to boil actually and the eggs taste delicious because of the sulfur in the water.

There is also water reflexology whereby polished pebbles are scattered in the hot water. You have to walk on it so the pebbles will massage the sole of your feet.

Let’s go!

The place gets more crowded as noon approach so most of the pools are already occupied. So, we hired the private jacuzzi… which is really worth the RM75.

Within privacy, the family could enjoy the rush of hot massaging water. The good thing is that the water temperature in the private rooms could be adjusted according to tolerance.

It is advised to book earlier for the rooms because on peak seasons they are mostly occupied. It cost RM75 per hour for a standard room or RM125 per hour for a superior room. Additional RM15 will be charged for each additional hours. (i doubt anyone would want to take up the extra hour offer… i hate wrinkly skin LOL)

Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park is definitely an ideal place to relax and de-stress. I just wish that there are less kids around :P
