Tin Tin & Smurf FDC

It took us almost half a year to get things sorted with the post office in Belgium. It’s really difficult when we don’t speak Dutch or French and the other side is not fluent in English at all. Making payment to Belgium is as difficult as it can get too.

But it was well worth it. This arrived in the post!

I used to be obsessed with the tiny blue men and now i have the stamps .

But what made my day was the Tin Tin First Day Covers (the whole set with stamps of every magazine cover) and the First Day Sheet. Bliss ).

What makes this so special is that the stamps of the Tin Tin magazines are with foreign titles matching the location of the adventure. For example the story in Tibet is with a Tibetan language title and the “Black Gold” story is in German.

A collectors item this is.
